About CHeyenne

I am a third-year Biomedical Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati. I am currently involved in the Society of Women Engineers and the Biomedical Engineering Society, and working on a few perosnal projects. I currently have a scholarship from the University where I have to do 30 hours of community service. Although that might seem like a lot, I love volunteering and am looking forward to the new experiences and people.

I am from Franklin, Tennessee, which is just 30 minutes outside of Nashville. I obtained my high school diploma at Independence High School, where I took many different kinds of classes. These include, but are not limited to, STEM; anatomy and physiology; and JROTC. I was also involved with the Girls Lacrosse Team and Air Rifle Team.

I have also had many experiences that are not school-related. I am an apiarist(bee-keeper). Every time I am home I check on the hives to make sure everything is running smoothly. If things aren’t, I have to devise a solution to the problem. Some of these problems are the hives needing more heat or air-circulation, pests in the hive, or low food sources.

Education opportunities at my house consist of changing the oil in our cars, fixing and replacing lights and their systems, making shelves, or using CNC and laser routers to make signs.

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
